About the role

The Senior Technical Specialist - Finance and People Systems provides advanced technical support, analysis and system development expertise for Parks Victoria's Finance and People systems.

The role ensures that Finance, People, and associated systems operate reliably, efficiently and securely, supporting the organisation's financial management, payroll, and human resources processes.

It provides specialist advice to optimise system functionality, resolve complex issues, and deliver enhancements in line with user and business needs. The role also supports upgrades, integrations, and testing to maintain system integrity and alignment with Victorian Government technology standards.

About the Team

The Information Technology Directorate is Parks Victoria's IT centre of expertise, responsible for delivering technology solutions, services, and support, developing the organisation's enterprise architecture, information management and security capabilities and the oversight of external vendors, ensuring that Parks Victoria's IT capabilities are in line with industry best practice and Victorian Government requirements, and support the effective and efficient management of parks and reserves, including designated local ports and waterways.

We're looking for someone with

  • Tertiary qualification in information technology, business systems, or a related discipline.
  • Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills along with excellent documentation, communication and collaboration capabilities.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Application Implementation Methodology (AIM) standards.
  • Demonstrated experience providing Oracle EBS (R12) support and associated applications, preferably in finance, payroll or HR modules.
  • Knowledge of Oracle ERP Cloud or OCI is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and optimising Oracle databases and enterprise systems, ensuring data integrity, system reliability, and efficient performance.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (Oracle, OBIEE, Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent).
