Primary Objective: Provide legal and administrative support in relation to all court matters under the Care and Protection of Children Act 2007, Youth Justice Act 2005 and other relevant legislation to ensure legislative and policy requirements are met. In consultation with the Manager of Legal Services, support the Agency to meet its responsibilities and promote best practice around compliance with the Agency’s legal obligations. The Legal Services Unit sits within the under Corporate and Enabling Services Unit and ensures the Department of Children and Families is effectively and efficiently fulfilling its obligations under relevant legislation.
