Why you will love Working Here

Getting older can mean giving up a lot, your home, your routine, your sense of independence. We don’t think it should.

With more than 800 team members and 200 volunteers, we’re here to help people keep living the life they love, with reliable in-home and community care, a local team who knows the neighbourhood, and the kind of support that always has time for a cuppa and a chat.

And we look after our team the same way. We offer real support, meaningful recognition, and rewards that reflect the difference you make every day.

Here’s what you can expect

  • Not-for-profit salary packaging ($15,900 per annum)
  • Leave loading to make your time off even more rewarding
  • Flexible and hybrid working options
  • Full My Aged Care Assessor training and buddy shifts
  • Clear, supported career pathways and ongoing training to help you grow
  • Employee referral reward program - because good people know good people
  • Fitness Passport - access to gyms and wellness facilities
  • Employee Assistance Program - confidential support when you need it
  • QLeave - portable long service leave that recognises long-term care work

What you’ll be doing

As an Assessor - Clinical Aged Care, you’ll meet with clients in their homes to understand their physical, emotional, and social needs, and complete comprehensive assessments using the Integrated Assessment Tool (IAT) to guide personalised care planning.

You’ll collaborate with families, carers, and service providers to make sure every recommendation is thoughtful, safe, and aligned with the customer’s goals. Whether it’s identifying support options, or linking people to meaningful services, you’ll help make aged care feel less overwhelming and more like a genuine support.

The role is offered as a permanent, full-time opportunity (Monday to Friday) with travel in the Sunshine Coast region required in meeting with customers and stakeholders.

You’ll have the flexibility to complete admin tasks from home or a co-working space.

You’ll thrive in this role if you

  • Hold a tertiary qualification in a health-related discipline (e.g. nursing, OT, physio, social work) and current AHPRA registration or eligible to be part of a relevant professional association.
  • Communicate with warmth, professionalism, and clarity, especially when supporting people with complex health needs or sensory and cognitive challenges.
  • Understand the impact of ageing on individuals and families
  • Are confident conducting assessments and navigating risk with sensitivity and care
  • Are comfortable using technology and open to learning new systems
  • Work well independently but thrive in a collaborative team
  • Have a valid Driver’s Licence, reliable vehicle, and current First Aid, CPR, and National Criminal History Check (or are willing to obtain them), and can meet all necessary checks and declarations required for the role.

Belonging Starts Here

We believe real care starts with real belonging. That means creating a workplace where everyone - no matter their background, culture, or story - feels seen, respected, and safe to be themselves.

We welcome applications from First Nations people, the LGBTIQA+ community, people with disabilities, and those from culturally diverse backgrounds. Your story matters here.

If you’re ready to be part of something that truly matters - we’d love to hear from you. We’re reviewing applications as they come in, so don’t wait to apply online.
