About the role
We currently have day shift tanker driving positions available for experienced HC drivers, within our Chemtrans Truganina site.
You will be completing local and country deliveries of dangerous goods and non-DG products, in our well-maintained automatic Scania trucks and tankers.
The role suits drivers interested in upskilling their HC driving experience and gaining training in the dangerous goods arena.
You will be provided with a comprehensive training program including how to safely perform a range of tasks including loading and unloading various liquid DG and non-NG products.
Hours are Monday to Friday, 7am start, although you can start anywhere from 4am depending on customer requirements.
Overtime available and occasional weekend work required.
You will
Deliver class 8 dangerous goods products in road tankers around Melbourne metro and Regional Victoria
Load and unload product including attaching hoses and pumping out of tanks
Be responsible for your truck and follow all processes and relevant SOPs in accordance with company policy
Utilise all required PPE and follow procedures accurately maintaining safety at all times
Complete relevant paperwork for deliveries
Provide quality customer service and conduct that aligns with K&S values
You will have
Valid HC licence with at least 1 year of proven heavy vehicle driving experience
Previous experience operating bulk tankers advantageous
Dangerous Goods licence
Basic Fatigue Management accreditation- or willing to obtain
Forklift license beneficial but not essential
A strong commitment to safety regulations
Good driving history
Strong English skills and able to follow instructions and communicate effectively
Flexibility around weekend work when required
