Senior Project Officer, Indigo Enterprise Integration
Australian Electoral Commission
Agency Purpose
The Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) is an independent statutory authority established by the Australian Government to maintain an impartial and independent electoral system for eligible voters through active electoral roll management, efficient delivery of polling services, and targeted education and public awareness programs.
The AEC’s values and commitments
The AEC values and commitments are an essential component of our operating environment and frame how AEC staff work. The AEC's focus is on electoral integrity through the values of quality, agility and professionalism.
The Team
The Indigo Enterprise Integration (IEI) section is a strategic enabling function that supports the integration of new and modernised capabilities, developed by the Indigo program, into the AEC’s business as usual (BAU) operating environment. IEI provides enterprise wide coordination and advice to connect operational needs primarily with the delivery of the Australian Electoral Management System (AEMS), strengthening decision making and supporting organisational uplift. IEI is positioned as a central driver of the AEC’s implementation of AEMS and will be a key contributor to secure and reliable election delivery.
IEI defines integration as an ongoing process of embedding new and updated technology capabilities into the AEC’s existing ecosystem, so they deliver benefits over time. While IEI does not own AEMS applications, it provides integration oversight to support receiving business areas to ensure the capabilities continue to align with operational requirements, governance arrangements and the AEC operating model.
The Opportunity
The Senior Project Officer plays a key role in supporting the delivery of section outcomes through analysis, coordinating cross functional inputs, and the preparation of documentation for joint business and information technology stakeholders.
The role works closely with the Assistant Director to provide high quality advice, analysis, and coordination support that informs senior decision making and section deliverables. Through this work, the Senior Project Officer gains exposure to enterprise level integration and assurance processes and contributes directly to IEI’s role as a key enabler of secure and reliable election delivery.
