Manager - M&A Advisory | Sydney & Melbourne

A leading independent advisory firm is looking to appoint a Manager into its Sydney Deals team, working across complex mid-market and large-cap M&A transactions.

The team advises corporates, private equity investors and founder-led businesses on strategic transactions, partnering closely with boards, executives and investors across the full deal lifecycle.

About the role

• End-to-end execution of M&A transactions
• Financial modelling, valuation and strategic analysis
• Preparation of client and transaction materials including IMs, management presentations and bidder analysis
• Managing stakeholder relationships across clients, investors and advisors
• Supporting origination and broader growth initiatives within the team
• Mentoring and developing junior team members

Ideal background

• 4-6 years' experience in M&A advisory, investment banking, consulting or corporate development
• Demonstrated end-to-end M&A transaction experience
• Strong financial modelling and valuation capability
• Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams on complex transactions
• Commercial mindset with strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience working in fast-paced, deal-heavy environments
• CA/CFA or equivalent qualification preferred
