Waitstaff to join our dynamic team at our premium dining venue

Bopp & Tone in Wynyard, Sydney.

About the role

As Head Waitstaff, you will provide high-quality food and beverage service in a fast-paced environment, delivering exceptional customer experiences in line with our company standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a section of the restaurant floor, ensuring smooth service and high standards are maintained.
  • Greet, seat, and engage with guests, providing professional and attentive service throughout their dining experience.
  • Take and coordinate food and beverage orders, with detailed knowledge of menus, daily specials, and wine pairings.
  • Oversee and support junior wait staff, providing training, guidance, and feedback.
  • Manage table allocations, coordinate with the kitchen and bar teams, and ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Respond to and resolve guest concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety, hygiene, and RSA requirements.
  • Contribute to maintaining service standards and supporting overall restaurant operations.

Skills and Experience

To Be Considered, You Must Have

  • A minimum of two years’ relevant experience in a comparable restaurant environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage service, including wine and cocktail service.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle high-volume service periods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to delivering outstanding guest service.
  • A current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certificate.

Salary and Conditions

This is a full-time position with an annual salary of $80,000 Grade 4+ plus superannuation, in accordance with industry standards. Weekend and evening work will be required.
