Mid North Coast Local Health District is seeking Staff Specialists in Psychiatry to join our growing Mental Health Services across both Port Macquarie and Coffs Harbour. Multiple positions are available.

Applicants must be registered, or eligible for registration, with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Psychiatrist and hold Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) or equivalent specialist recognition.

Candidates currently on the RANZCP Substantial Comparability Pathway will also be considered and must provide evidence of their comparability assessment as part of their application.

What you'll be doing

Provide specialist clinical services for optimal patient outcomes within the MNCLHD including education and training of medical and nursing staff and the junior medical officers within the department.

Provide effective specialist medical services and clinical management to patients in a complex clinical environment within the MNCLHD.

Provide contemporary clinical management and modern approach to the assessment and management of a broad range of health related conditions within psychiatry as determined

This is a Category A position. Recommended applicants will be reviewed for compliance with NSW Health policy directive for Category A positions prior to offer.

Salary will be accordance with NSW Health State Awards for the advertised classification/s. These awards are available at https://www.health.nsw.gov.au/careers/conditions/pages/default.aspx.

TALENT POOL MAY BE CREATED FOR FUTURE ROLES AND WILL REMAIN VALID FOR 18 MONTHS.
