Technical Project Manager

• Initial 6+mth contract with possible extension paying competitive market rates
• Brisbane CBD Location with flexibility to WFH 2 days per week
• Technical PM required to lead delivery of the technical streams (Integration and Data Migration) of the project

Our client, Queensland Government owned organisation, are currently seeking a Technical Project Manager for a major transformation to replace their legacy systems with a modern, secure, and user-friendly platform (Salesforce).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of the technical streams (Integration and Data Migration) of the project
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, risks, and dependencies
• Coordinate across architecture, development, infrastructure, and vendors (managing vendors)
• Oversee system integration, environments, and technical delivery milestones
• Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and government standards
• Manage vendor relationships and contractual deliverables
• Provide reporting to governance bodies and senior stakeholders
• Drive issue resolution and oversee technical decision-making
• Support transition to operations and service handover

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience delivering large-scale system implementations (ideally government or regulated environments)
• Strong technical background (e.g. architecture, infrastructure, or software delivery)
• Experience with data migration
• Experience managing multi-vendor environments
• Demonstrated capability in risk, budget, and schedule management
• Strong stakeholder engagement at executive and delivery levels
• Experience with enterprise platforms (Salesforce desirable), integration, and cloud environments
• Project management certification and experience using PRINCE2, Scrum

• Experience in large, complex ICT/system implementations
• Government or regulated environment experience (desirable)
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to work in Agile environments
• Problem-solving mindset and adaptability
• Salesforce experience desirable
