Your new role

This role operates within the IT Automation & Integration team, leading the design, development, and governance of automation and integration solutions across Azure and the Microsoft Power Platform.

You will lead a small team of automation and integration engineers, oversee output from external vendors, oversee solutions created by the business (currently being upskilled in automation), and oversee AI assisted code development and AI Model management.

Establishing practices to be used across all of these streams of work across Azure in the Automation, Integration and AI solution spaces.

In this role you will,

• Lead the design and delivery of automation and integration solutions across: Azure (e.g. Logic Apps, Functions, Web Apps, API Management, Azure Foundry)
• Microsoft Power Platform (e.g. Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio, Dataverse)
• Create high-level system architecture and detailed technical designs for automation, integration, and AI solutions
• Define, implement, and maintain software development practices, principles, and policies across: Internal development team, External vendors, AI coding assistants / agentic tools, Establish and govern CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps / GitHub) for all solutions
• Lead peer review processes and ensure consistent code quality across all deliverables.
• Work with AI-powered coding assistants/agents, reviewing outputs and ensuring quality and compliance
• Design and oversee the implementation of AI-enabled solutions using Azure AI services and Copilot Studio
• Actively participate in agile ceremonies including: Stand-ups, Sprint planning, Elaboration sessions and Retrospectives
• Review and approve changes through the Change Advisory Board (CAB) for automation and integration solutions

What you'll need to succeed

• Strong experience in Azure development (Logic Apps, Functions, APIs, Web Apps) and cloud platforms
• Strong experience in Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio)
• Strong understanding of Dataverse, Microsoft 365 and Azure resource integration
• Experience with API-based integrations
• Experience leading or mentoring development teams
• Familiarity with Power Fx, JSON, and integration techniques (APIs, connectors).
• Experience with setting up CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub
• Experience designing and delivering AI-enabled solutions (e.g. Azure AI, Copilot, agentic solutions).
• Experience designing chatbots, including conversation flow, intent recognition, and natural language processing.
• Strong understanding of data governance, security, access control, and monitoring within cloud and low-code environments.
