UI/UX Web Designer

Location: Perth preferred; East Coast candidates considered

Start: Immediate

Engagement: 6-month contract, with potential extension

Onsite: Some Perth-based onboarding required

We are seeking an experienced UI/UX Web Designer to support a national digital refresh program.

The role will focus on creating a consistent, modern, and user-friendly digital experience across multiple websites, including public-facing and member-only areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Synthesise existing UX thinking, requirements, and stakeholder input
• Develop user personas and decision artefacts
• Produce wireframes and high-fidelity web designs
• Create a reusable, tokenised design system
• Support stakeholder workshops and UX decision-making
• Package design outputs for smooth handover to development teams

Required Experience

• Proven UI/UX design experience across web projects
• Strong portfolio covering wireframes, high-fidelity designs, and design systems
• Experience working with complex stakeholder groups
• Ability to turn broad requirements into clear design outcomes
• Proficiency in tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar
• Strong communication and workshop facilitation skills

Highly Regarded

• Experience with government, public sector, mutuals, or member-based organisations
• Knowledge of accessibility and responsive design
• Experience designing public and member-only digital experiences
• Exposure to risk, claims, insurance, or member services platforms

Scope This role covers UI/UX design, personas, wireframes, high-fidelity designs, design system documentation, workshops, and development handover.

It does not include brand identity, logo design, front-end development, prototyping, or program management.
