Better Place Australia is entering an exciting new chapter following a review of our organisational structure. We are seeking a values-driven, forward-thinking leader to join our Executive Leadership Team as Executive Manager Quality and Impact.

The Role

As Executive Manager Quality and Impact, you will lead the strategic direction of quality, clinical governance, client experience, and organisational impact.

You will play a critical part in shaping a sector-leading service model that values safe, effective, and person-centred delivery underpinned by strong data, meaningful insights, and a culture of continuous improvement.

Working closely with the CEO, Board, Executive peers, and external partners, you will bring a balance of strategic leadership and practical delivery to strengthen our systems, amplify our impact, and drive innovation.

What You Will Lead

Quality, clinical governance, and accreditation to ensure safe, effective and continuously improving services.

Championing client voice and participation, embedding person-centred, trauma-informed approaches across Better Place Australia.

Using data, evaluation, and insights to drive performance, outcomes, and informed decision-making.

Driving innovation, research, and strategic projects that enhance impact, accessibility, and sustainability.

Building strong partnerships and sector connections to support collaboration, influence, and shared outcomes.

Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking a values-driven leader who:

  • Brings significant senior experience in quality, strategy, clinical governance, or service improvement within health, mental health, or community services.
  • Has deep expertise in quality systems, accreditation, and continuous improvement frameworks.
  • Is confident using data and evidence to influence strategy and performance.
  • Brings an entrepreneurial and curious mindset, willing to challenge constructively and explore new ways of working.
  • Builds strong, authentic relationships and thrives in collaborative, complex environments.
  • Is a strong communicator, experienced in engaging with Boards, executives, and external stakeholders.

This is a full time role; however for the right applicant part time (0.8/0.9 FTE) may be considered. The role is based at our Cheltenham, Victoria site; however, travel to other locations may be required from time to time.
