Data Engineer

We’re looking for a Data Engineer to embed within our client’s Finance Team and take ownership of how data is structured, moved, and leveraged across the function.

This is a hands-on role focused on transforming and optimising finance data processes, building scalable pipelines, automating workflows, and enabling better insights.

You’ll play a key role in improving how raw data flows from source to insight, while driving efficiency, accuracy, and smarter decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and optimise data pipelines, models, and workflows (AWS)
• Improve how finance data flows from source to reporting and insights
• Automate manual processes and implement data quality checks
• Develop APIs and integrate data across systems
• Support reporting, forecasting, and performance analysis
• Collaborate with Finance, Technology, and the Head of Data

Skills & Experience

• Proven Data Engineering experience delivering scalable solutions
• Strong Python and SQL skills
• Hands-on AWS experience (ECS, Glue, S3, Aurora/Postgres)
• Experience with APIs, data modelling, and pipeline design
• Strong problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills
• Exposure to AI/advanced analytics is a plus
