The Australian Digital Health Agency leads the national effort to digitally enable Australia’s health system. We support the delivery of person-centred, connected healthcare through the development and adoption of digital health services and systems. Our work includes managing My Health Record, Electronic prescriptions, and the 1800MEDICARE app, ensuring a healthier future for all Australians through connected healthcare.
About the Role
As a Finance Program Officer (APS Level 6), you will play a key role in delivering contemporary finance and procurement policies, supporting the efficient and effective operation of the Finance and Procurement Branch. You will work collaboratively across the Branch’s four teams to coordinate and deliver program outcomes, demonstrating initiative and sound decision-making in the interpretation and application of policy.
In this role, you will contribute to the development of the Agency’s financial policy advice while supporting strategic planning and program delivery. This includes coordinating the branch work plan, managing quarterly reporting, and assisting with key projects and initiatives, including the implementation of the Agency’s Net Zero Strategy. Your ability to manage competing priorities, build strong stakeholder relationships, and drive outcomes will be critical to your success.
Skills and Experience
- Experience with or qualifications related to finance laws and policies and/or procurement and contract management obligations.
- Experience contributing to finance or procurement policy development and implementation.
- Strong program and project coordination skills, including planning and reporting.
- Ability to interpret and apply legislation, policy, and frameworks in a practical way.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills across diverse teams.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Eligibility
Australian citizenship is mandatory. Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a national police clearance and the required Baseline security clearance, with the ability to attain a higher-level clearance if needed.
Notes: Order of Merit: Applicants rated as suitable will be placed in a merit pool that may be used to fill similar ongoing or non-ongoing positions throughout the Agency for up to 18 months.
