The Role

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will take ownership of a high-performing national Accounts Receivable function. Leading a large national team across Credit Control, Billings and Banking, you will shape the strategic direction of the department while ensuring operational excellence across all areas of the receivables lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include

• Leading, mentoring and developing a large national team across Credit Control, Billings and Banking with a focus on capability building and performance.

• Driving improvements in debt management, billing efficiencies and overall receivables outcomes.

• Identifying, designing and implementing process and system enhancements across the wider AR function.

• Championing a customer-centric collections approach in partnership with the sales team.

• Embedding succession planning and structured development across the team.

• Fostering an inclusive, positive and collaborative working culture.

• Playing an active role in strategic discussions with senior management and the executive team.

• Ensuring strong governance, compliance and accuracy across banking and receipting processes.

About You

• Recent and proven experience leading a large Accounts Receivable or Shared Services function.

• Strong leadership experience across Credit Control, Billings and/or Banking functions.

• A strong track record in people leadership and team development.

• Demonstrated success delivering process improvements, automation and operational uplift.

• The ability to build strong internal and external relationships.

• Confidence communicating with stakeholders at all levels, including executives.

• A natural ability to motivate, influence and elevate a high-performing team.
