With 5 sites across Queensland the business is growing rapidly. The team is small, collaborative and energetic, and the culture reflects that. This is a newly created Junior Legal Counsel position reporting directly to the CEO. As the business scales, the need for dedicated in-house legal support has grown and this role has been created to bring that capability in-house and reduce reliance on external firms. You will be the primary legal support across the business, handling a broad range of matters across contract management, compliance, regulatory monitoring and stakeholder liaison. The role offers significant exposure across the entire business including sales, investment, finance and operations, and suits someone who thrives with autonomy and enjoys being close to the action.
What the role involves:
- Drafting, reviewing and managing HPAs and other contracts from precedents
- Staying across legislative changes in the Lifestyle and Land Lease Communities sector
- Handling queries from purchasers and their lawyers professionally
- Supporting corporate governance and compliance matters
- Working closely with the CEO and leadership team day to day
About you:
- Qualified lawyer or experienced paralegal with 5+ years in a property or legal support capacity
- Strong legal drafting skills and high attention to detail
- Confident handling conversations with lawyers and senior stakeholders independently
- Personable and able to work autonomously in a lean environment
- LLC experience is a significant advantage
- HubSpot familiarity a bonus
