Senior Talent Acquisition Partner — Global Financial Services Group | Sydney CBD | $160k–$170k package + bonus

A rare opportunity to take genuine ownership of the in-house talent acquisition function for a leading global organisation in the banking, insurance and financial services space, based in the heart of the Sydney CBD.

This isn't a fill-the-req role. As the subject matter expert, you'll shape and build out the TA function, moving the business from reactive hiring to a proactive, pipeline-led approach, and recruiting across the full spectrum from junior positions through to senior and executive appointments.

The role

  • Own end-to-end recruitment across the business, from junior and mid-level roles through to strategic and executive hires
  • Build and mature the in-house TA function: direct sourcing, talent pipelining, and a more proactive, less reactive way of working
  • Partner closely with HR and hiring managers across the organisation, building strong stakeholder relationships and a deep understanding of workforce needs
  • Recruit directly wherever possible, reducing agency reliance while managing those partnerships where they add value
  • Bring innovation to sourcing, candidate experience, employer brand and process
  • Act as the trusted expert on the banking and finance talent market, benchmarking and hiring strategy

About you

  • Proven talent acquisition / recruitment experience within banking, insurance or financial services, you genuinely understand the roles and the market
  • A subject matter expert across the full recruitment lifecycle, equally comfortable hiring junior roles and partnering on senior/executive appointments
  • A strong direct sourcer, you'd rather find the talent yourself, and you're very good at it
  • A natural relationship builder who partners credibly with HR and senior stakeholders
  • Proactive, innovative and pipeline-minded, you think ahead of the hiring need rather than waiting for it
  • Mid-to-senior level, ready to take ownership and build something
