Join the Children’s Inpatient Unit at Logan Hospital as a Permanent Full Time or Part Time Clinical Nurse and provide advanced, family-centred paediatric care within a supportive multidisciplinary team across Metro South Health.

About This Role

Role

As the Clinical Nurse within the Children's Inpatient Unit, you will play a key leadership role in delivering advanced paediatric nursing care while supporting quality outcomes for children and their families by:

  • Providing expert clinical assessment, care planning and coordination for paediatric patients with complex care needs
  • Delivering safe, evidence-based and family-centred care within a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Leading and supporting nursing staff through mentoring, education and clinical guidance
  • Coordinating patient care and supporting operational activities including shift leadership and quality improvement initiatives
  • Participating in clinical education, research, audits and continuous improvement activities
  • Contributing to a positive workplace culture focused on collaboration, safety and excellence in patient care

About You

You are a compassionate and experienced nursing professional who is passionate about paediatric healthcare and committed to delivering high-quality patient outcomes with:

  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) as a Registered Nurse
  • Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge and experience in paediatric nursing practice
  • Strong clinical decision-making, problem-solving and communication skills
  • Experience leading, mentoring and supporting multidisciplinary healthcare teams
  • A commitment to evidence-based practice, quality improvement and patient-centred care
  • The ability to work autonomously and effectively within a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant specialty area or current enrolment in postgraduate study (highly desirable)

Logan Hospital

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.

We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.

Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
