ACEREZ, a partnership of ACCIONA, COBRA and Endeavour Energy, has been appointed network operator by EnergyCo to design, build, finance, operate and maintain the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) transmission network. The ACCIONA COBRA Joint Venture (ACJV), the design and construct (D&C) consortium, will design and build the Central-West Orana REZ transmission project.

The new transmission network infrastructure will deliver at least 4.5 gigawatts of new network capacity from 2028 to connect 7.7 gigawatts of wind and solar projects, which is enough to power more than 2 million homes each year.

Our Central-West Orana REZ Transmission Project is currently seeking Skilled Civil Labourers to share their expertise in access tracks and bulk earth works.

This is a remote project position operating on a 14 days on / 7 days off roster. Bus transport is currently provided from Sydney only, with various pick-up and drop-off locations between Sydney and the Mudgee region.

Applicants located within NSW outside the Sydney transport route will be required to DIDO (Drive In Drive Out) at their own expense. Please note this is not a FIFO role, and candidates residing outside NSW will be required to arrange and fund their own travel to Sydney or the site if successful.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with clearing and drainage installations

  • Digging trenches and pipelaying

  • Spotting machinery and traffic control

  • Installing fencing and cattle crossings

  • General physical and manual labouring tasks

  • Dogging and rigging duties

Minimum Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a civil construction

  • Experience in renewable energy highly desirable

  • Additional tickets in dogging, rigging, traffic control and spotting desirable

  • Full C class driver's license at minimum

  • Construction white card

  • Own vehicle

  • Willing to undertake a pre-employment medical and police check
