The Role

Our fantastic Marketing team is looking for a passionate and commercially minded Assistant Brand Manager to join our Corporate Office based in Mentone.

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, this role plays a key part in supporting the development and execution of brand strategies and annual marketing plans across the Meals portfolio. The position offers broad exposure across brand management, project delivery, innovation and commercial decision-making, with a strong focus on driving profitable growth within the category.

A key component of the role is supporting P&L management across the portfolio, including assisting with budgeting, forecasting, promotional analysis, pricing, margin considerations and post-campaign performance evaluation. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, Finance, Supply Chain and Category to help deliver commercially successful outcomes and support strategic business objectives.

The role also has significant project management responsibility, particularly across New Product Development (NPD) and Stage & Gate processes. From concept through to launch, you will coordinate timelines, manage stakeholder engagement, track deliverables and ensure projects are executed efficiently and effectively. You will support the development of innovation pipelines, sales collateral, communications and brand activations, while managing day-to-day campaign activity from briefing through to execution.

The Person

To be successful in the role you will hold a Marketing Degree or relevant qualification, along with at least 2 years’ experience within a Marketing and/or Brand Marketing environment. Experience within FMCG will be highly regarded.

You will bring strong commercial acumen with an understanding of P&L management principles, coupled with highly developed project management and organisational skills. Experience working across NPD projects, managing timelines, and coordinating multiple stakeholders will be essential. Exposure to Stage & Gate processes is preferred.

Proficiency in IRI and Microsoft Office is required, along with an understanding of social media and digital marketing platforms. You will be highly detail-oriented, analytical and proactive, with the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Along with strong problem-solving capability and effective time management, your willingness to contribute positively to a high-performing and collaborative team culture is crucial. To succeed in this role, you will have an energetic mindset, strong communication skills and a genuine passion for brands, innovation and delivering commercial results.

Alignment and fit with Patties Food Group values is essential.
