Reporting to the Payroll Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Processing end-to-end payroll accurately and on time for all employees
  • Preparing and maintaining payroll data within strict timeframes, including new starters, contract variations, award increases, and terminations
  • Managing salary packaging, Workers Compensation, and Government Paid Parental Leave processing
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant awards, agreements, and payroll legislation
  • Maintaining accurate payroll records and responding to payroll enquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Assisting with payroll reconciliations in collaboration with the finance team
  • Preparing and processing superannuation, PAYG, and other statutory obligations
  • Supporting month-end and year-end payroll reporting requirements
  • Identifying opportunities to improve payroll processes and efficiencies
  • Maintaining a high level of accuracy, professionalism, and customer service at all times

The Successful Applicant

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have

  • Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing, ideally within healthcare or a complex payroll environment
  • Strong understanding of payroll legislation, awards, and compliance requirements
  • Experience using payroll systems, with Chris21 experience highly regarded
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and strong overall system proficiency
  • High attention to detail with excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to confidently respond to employee enquiries
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively within a team environment
