Reporting to the Payroll Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Processing end-to-end payroll accurately and on time for all employees
- Preparing and maintaining payroll data within strict timeframes, including new starters, contract variations, award increases, and terminations
- Managing salary packaging, Workers Compensation, and Government Paid Parental Leave processing
- Ensuring compliance with relevant awards, agreements, and payroll legislation
- Maintaining accurate payroll records and responding to payroll enquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Assisting with payroll reconciliations in collaboration with the finance team
- Preparing and processing superannuation, PAYG, and other statutory obligations
- Supporting month-end and year-end payroll reporting requirements
- Identifying opportunities to improve payroll processes and efficiencies
- Maintaining a high level of accuracy, professionalism, and customer service at all times
The Successful Applicant
To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have
- Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing, ideally within healthcare or a complex payroll environment
- Strong understanding of payroll legislation, awards, and compliance requirements
- Experience using payroll systems, with Chris21 experience highly regarded
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and strong overall system proficiency
- High attention to detail with excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Strong communication skills and the ability to confidently respond to employee enquiries
- A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively within a team environment
