About the role

• Commercial contract disputes, Corporations Act matters, partnership and shareholder disputes and insolvency.
• Property and lease disputes including retail leasing, competition and consumer law and ACL claims.
• Professional negligence, defamation, equity matters and insurance coverage disputes.
• Court appearances across all major courts and tribunals, with ADR and mediation exposure.

The ideal candidate

• 2–5 years' PQE in commercial litigation from a reputable firm;
• Strong exposure to the above matter types - a broad base is valued over deep specialisation at this level.
• Strong drafting, communication and analytical skills;
• A practical, commercial approach to resolving disputes;
• Confidence dealing with clients, counsel and other stakeholders;
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities; and
• A genuine interest in building a long-term career in commercial litigation.
