Your New Role
You will be responsible for:
- Ensure the Division completes and implements audit recommendations and policy commitments in a timely manner
- Review and provide feedback on audit reports provided by Internal Audit to ensure clarity, accuracy and completeness of their findings
- Liaise with stakeholders, including the internal audit team, to ensure alignment and understanding of the audit requirements and recommendations
- Coordinate meetings between various stakeholders
- Maintain and update documentation related to the audit findings, recommendations, and compliance actions.
- Provide regular updates to management on the status of audit recommendations and policy updates
- Support the development of IT policies and procedures to improve or internal controls and ensure compliance.
- Coordinate the review, revision and implementation of IT policies and procedures ensuring they remain current with evolving standards, legislation and business needs.
- Assist in the preparation and writing of audit and policy briefs and reports.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
The successful candidate will also demonstrate:
- Extensive knowledge of the entire audit lifecycle
- Proven experience in IT policy, audit coordination, compliance, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of audit and policy processes - government experience is desirable but not essential
- Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and concise reports
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously
