Enterprise Network Engineer

Permanent Opportunity: $150,000 - $180,000 INC Super

Hands-on scope across switching/routing, firewalls, cloud security and VMware

FIFO experience required - supporting business‑critical networks in Mining & Energy environments

The Role

As a result of ongoing operational demands and project uplift work, our client now has an exciting opportunity for a Enterprise Network Engineer to support and enhance secure, resilient network services across their environment. This role will suit someone comfortable working in FIFO and operational site environments, with a view to continuous improvement and future growth.

FIFO Example: 5 days on 2 days off , 4 days on 3 days off

Responsibilities

• Provide BAU support for enterprise network infrastructure (switching, routing, WAN/LAN)
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Cisco network devices and services
• Operate and support firewalls (policy changes, rule reviews, troubleshooting, incident response)
• Contribute to cloud security activities (controls, access, network security posture)
• Support VMware / virtualised infrastructure connectivity and related network dependencies
• Participate in network monitoring, problem management, and service improvement initiatives
• Produce and maintain operational documentation and runbooks
• Support network operations in FIFO / site‑based environments where required

What our client requires

• Strong experience in switching and routing within enterprise environments
• Hands‑on experience with Cisco (configuration, troubleshooting, support) Experience supporting firewalls and implementing network security controls Proventroubleshooting skills across complex network environments
• Experience with cloud security (e.g. securing cloud connectivity / network controls)
• Exposure to VMware and virtualised infrastructure networking
• Previous FIFO experience supporting operational or site‑based environments (essential)
• Prior Mining & Energy / industrial or high‑availability environment experience (highly regarded)
