  • Exciting time to join a facility undergoing a redevelopment
  • Join a team that are working towards increasing exclusive breastfeeding rates and towards becoming a BFHI accredited facility.
  • This position provides clinical support and education to women and families to help support breastfeeding and will provide clinical leadership and education to the staff to ensure that they are comfortable in providing breastfeeding education and support.
  • This role will also involve the participation in group education sessions for women and families as well as the facilitation of Breastfeeding Bootcamps for staff.

  • Working within a multidisciplinary team and advocate for the needs of both the mother and baby

  • Is a job share position so would need to work together to ensure that Monday-Friday is covered.
  • Some flexibility with starting times

Selection Criteria

  • Current Authority to Practice as a Midwife with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years’ experience working in the clinical area of the employees specified post-graduate qualification, or such other qualifications or equivalent experience deemed appropriate by SWSLHD
