The Project Officer will be working across project delivery, stakeholder engagement, policy development, and committee governance in a purpose-driven team environment.

  • Draft and edit responses to departmental and ministerial correspondence
  • Prepare papers and briefing material for committees and meetings on policy and cross-portfolio issues, and manage action registers and follow-up
  • Provide high-level secretariat support including agenda setting, minute-taking, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders
  • Communicate and coordinate with key government agencies, Aboriginal organisations, and NGOs to facilitate information exchange and support project completion
  • Represent the Department in working groups and consultations, developing proposals and providing advice to the Director
