Nexia Sydney is seeking a part-time Bookkeeper to join our Business Advisory team. This role offers 22.5 hours per week with flexible start and finish times.

Working with a diverse client base, you will play a key role in ensuring payroll and back-office responsibilities are completed accurately and on time.

The opportunity

You Will Be Working In a Small Team Of Bookkeepers Within a Larger, Supportive Division, Supporting a Range Of Clients And Assisting With Tasks Including

  • coordinate payroll for various clients on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis as required;
  • back office accounting responsibility for clients;
  • entering and paying of all creditors (supplier payments and expenses);
  • answering all creditors queries;
  • using online banking systems to manage accounts payable for client;
  • transferring of funds between accounts if and when required;
  • preparing periodical entries in accounting software packages as required;
  • printing and compiling of financial documentation for clients; and
  • reconcile all bank accounts on a weekly and/or quarterly basis when required.

Requirements

This is a busy and varied role, and candidates who have experience working for multiple clients that have varied processes and reporting needs will be highly considered. In addition, you will have:

  • proven experience in a similar bookkeeping, payroll or accounts position;
  • experience and a solid knowledge in payroll processes and calculations (a mix of payment terms and contract types);
  • proficiency in using a range of accounting systems and intermediate computer skills (including Word, Excel and data entry); and
  • completed an Accounting/Business & Finance diploma at TAFE or similar (desirable not essential).
