THE ROLE
The Project Manager is responsible for leading and delivering cross-functional projects across JD Sports ANZ, ensuring initiatives are delivered on time, within budget and aligned to business objectives. Working closely with Retail Operations, eCommerce, Supply Chain, Finance, HR and Technology teams, you will drive end-to-end project delivery across transformation initiatives, systems implementations, operational improvements and omnichannel capabilities.
This role requires someone who can balance structured project governance with the pace and agility of a fast-moving retail environment, while minimising disruption to trading operations and customer experience.
You will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Leading end-to-end project delivery across planning, execution, implementation and closure phases
- Developing and managing integrated project plans, milestones and critical paths
- Managing scope, timelines, budgets, resourcing and project governance
- Coordinating cross-functional stakeholders across Retail, Digital and Support Office teams
- Ensuring project delivery aligns to trading calendars and peak retail periods
- Managing risks, dependencies and escalation pathways through RAID management
- Overseeing vendor and systems integrator delivery, including statements of work and deliverables
- Supporting business case development, financial tracking and benefits realisation
- Facilitating steering committees, governance forums and executive reporting
- Supporting go-live, cutover and post-implementation activities
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 5+ years’ Project Management experience within Retail, FMCG or similar fast-paced environments
- Proven experience delivering cross-functional transformation or systems implementation projects
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage across all business levels
- Experience managing project budgets, forecasting and commercial tracking
- Strong governance and reporting capability including RAID management and executive reporting
- Excellent problem-solving, prioritisation and decision-making skills
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Self-motivated, proactive and comfortable operating in agile environments
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Qualifications
- Degree in Business, IT, Commerce or related discipline
- PRINCE2 / PMP / Agile / Scrum certifications highly regarded
- Change Management certification (Prosci / ADKAR) advantageous
