About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Shutdown Event Leader to coordinate the development, planning, execution and close out of planned shutdowns.

Based in Adelaide, this role will work closely with shutdown, planning, production, integrity, contractor and site teams to ensure shutdown events are properly scoped, planned, resourced, executed and reviewed.

There will be requirements to attend site as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Shutdown

  • Coordinate conceptual development and pre-planning shutdown meetings
  • Establish and manage the shutdown core group across relevant work areas
  • Support the shutdown request process and ensure duration and start times are reviewed with relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure pre-planning milestones and required activities are completed
  • Coordinate submission and approval of pre, execution and post-shutdown funding requirements
  • Oversee pre-planning activities and provide direction and support to the planning team
  • Communicate work scope close-off dates and participate in the review of late work requests
  • Support business process development and conformance
  • Ensure shutdown data is entered into SAP

Shutdown Execution

  • Promote safety and environmental awareness through the IMS system
  • Support investigation and management of IMS items raised during execution
  • Ensure waste management processes are in place and followed during the outage
  • Own budget performance and cost control during execution
  • Ensure site and pre-shutdown inductions cover required topics
  • Track daily performance against schedule and budget
  • Make on-site decisions to support schedule changes and key shutdown milestones

Post Shutdown

  • Ensure post-shutdown meetings are held before demobilisation
  • Confirm site clean-up and equipment demobilisation requirements are completed
  • Coordinate lessons learned meetings and presentations
  • Ensure work orders are closed out or follow-up actions are raised
  • Support purchase order commitment review and close out
  • Prepare and distribute final cost and close out reports

About You

You will bring strong shutdown coordination experience and the ability to lead complex planning, execution and close out activities across multiple stakeholder groups.

You Will Also Bring

  • Experience coordinating planned shutdowns in an operational or industrial environment
  • Strong shutdown planning, execution and close out capability
  • Ability to manage scope, cost, schedule, risk, contractors and reporting requirements
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills across planning, production, integrity, site and contractor teams
  • Experience chairing meetings and driving action close out
  • Strong understanding of shutdown governance, milestones and business processes
  • SAP experience
  • Ability to travel to site as required
  • Right to work in Australia
