This global organisation provides high end engineering and advanced technology solutions to customers in the intelligence and national security communities. In this role, your work will contribute directly to one of the nation’s most important missions — protecting Australia’s national security.

We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Manager to support a diverse workforce and operations across contracts based interstate. This role is responsible for overseeing HR operations, ensuring compliance with employment legislation, driving initiatives that support employee engagement and organisational performance.

The successful candidate will bring strong leadership capability, sound HR expertise and a commitment to continuous improvement within a dynamic and mission focused environment.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the development, implementation and administration of HR programs, policies and procedures and initiatives aligned with business objectives.
  • Provide leadership, guidance and direction to HR team members and stakeholders.
  • Support the development and execution of functional HR strategy and processes.
  • Develop, review and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state and local employment legislation and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR data.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture and support employee engagement initiatives.
  • Advise managers on performance management, employee relations, conflict resolution and disciplinary matters.
  • Support workforce planning, talent retention and employee development initiatives.
  • Promote the organisation’s core values of safety, integrity, teamwork and excellence across all HR activities.
  • Strong understanding of contemporary HR practices, policies, and principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities with a proactive mindset.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion.
  • Experience working within multicultural environments and engaging with diverse teams.

The successful candidate will be a proven HR leader who can operate at both a strategic and operational level. You will be experienced in leading a small team in a complex environment and be able to build relationships with stakeholders.

This role will require regular interstate travel and in turn, offers a very flexible workplace.
