About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Planner to support long-term shutdown maintenance planning for process plant operations.
Based in Adelaide, this role will work closely with the Shutdown Lead Planner to plan, coordinate and control shutdown maintenance requirements, ensuring CMMS work orders are clearly defined and ready for safe execution.

- $80–$85 per hour + super
- Work closely with the Shutdown Lead Planner across shutdown planning and execution readiness
- Support mechanical work pack development, site set-up, materials, tooling and shutdown close-out
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and support mechanical shutdown work packs, including materials, labour estimates, scaffold, cladding, cleaning requirements and photos
- Coordinate maintenance work activities to ensure planning and work packing are aligned to the shutdown schedule and specification
- Review and prepare shutdown maintenance work lists, reserve materials and spare parts, and initiate purchase requisitions for parts and services
- Support shutdown site set-up, including tooling, safety containers, amenities, site buildings, blinds, gaskets and specialist equipment requirements
- Provide progress updates to the Shutdown Lead Planner, mechanical supervisors and relevant stakeholders before and during shutdown execution
- Support shutdown close-out, including work order completion, lessons learnt, historical records and CMMS archiving
About You
- Proven experience in mechanical maintenance planning, shutdown planning or turnaround planning roles
- Strong CMMS experience, with the ability to manage and clearly define work orders for execution
- Experience developing detailed work packs for mechanical shutdown activities
- Strong understanding of shutdown maintenance, site set-up, permits, materials, tooling and contractor coordination
- Ability to communicate effectively with shutdown leads, supervisors, trades, contractors and site teams
- Strong focus on safe, cost-effective planning and execution in process plant or similar operational environments
