The role
This role sits within Council’s Youth Services Team (branded as Youth ConneXions) and will support the team’s purpose of engaging with young people, designing and delivering programs and other initiatives, and delivering on the Youth Services Implementation Plan (2024-27).
This position will be responsible for coordinating key Youth ConneXions marketing and social media activities, delivering the student placement program, and providing general operational support across various programs and engagement initiatives delivered by the Youth Services Team.
About you
To be considered for this position you will have:
- Relevant qualification in youth work, social work or related field, with experience working with families and young people.
- Demonstrated experience in project coordination, preferably youth-led initiatives and projects.
- Experience supporting young people, carers, and professionals through referrals and information provision.
- Strong program administration skills and ability to collaborate across Council teams. Working knowledge of youth engagement and participation strategies, and current youth trends and needs.
- Knowledge of social media platforms and effective content management.
- Strong marketing and administrative skills to support newsletters, marketing content, and promotional merchandise.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively across Council, government, and youth organisations.
