About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to join our Maintenance team based at Kemerton Pigment Plant in the idyllic South West of WA and is offered on a 12-month maximum term contract basis working a 9 day fortnight, 38 hour average week.
The Electrical & Instrumentation Technician plays a key role in maintaining and improving plant reliability and performance. Responsibilities include fault finding and maintenance across electrical, instrumentation and Honeywell DCS systems, as well as conducting fixed plant inspections and statutory testing.
The role supports operations by preparing and isolating equipment to minimise downtime and ensures accurate completion of work orders and reporting within SAP. You will install and commission equipment modifications in line with standards, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and maintain high standards of safety, housekeeping and workmanship while actively supporting team-based projects and plant efficiency outcomes.
About You
To be successful in your application you will ideally need to possess:
- Electrical Trade Certificate (essential)
- Cert IV instrumentation (essential)
- HV switching certification (desirable)
- High risk licence; forklift, working at heights, confined space
- Hazardous area certification (desirable)
- Experience with gas appliances (desirable)
- Fixed Plant experience and the ability to interpret engineering drawings (desirable)
