The Role

We are seeking an experienced Test Automation Lead / QA Lead to drive quality engineering outcomes across enterprise web and retail/POS applications.

This role is ideal for someone who combines strong hands-on automation capability with leadership experience across QA strategy, team mentoring, automation transformation, and enterprise delivery.

You will lead automation initiatives, support migration to Playwright frameworks, and work closely with developers, product owners, business analysts, and stakeholders across the delivery lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end QA delivery across enterprise web and retail/POS applications
• Playwright
• TypeScript
• Cucumber (BDD)
• Drive migration of existing automation suites to Playwright
• Perform manual testing activities where required
• Manage QA estimations, release planning, and resource allocation
• Coordinate testing activities across Agile delivery teams
• Raise delivery risks and provide release readiness assessments
• Manage defects, execution, and reporting through Jira and PractiTest
• Ensure adherence to SDLC, STLC, Agile, and quality engineering standards

Leadership & Mentoring

• Mentor manual testers and upskill them into automation engineers
• Coach developers to contribute to automated testing practices
• Establish automation standards, coding guidelines, and QA best practices
• Conduct workshops, knowledge-sharing sessions, and code reviews

Required Skills & Experience

• Playwright

• Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks
• Strong QA leadership and stakeholder engagement capability
• Automation testing
• Manual testing
• Regression testing
• Integration testing
• UAT
• Experience with Jira and PractiTest
• Strong understanding of Agile delivery environments
• Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills
