We are partnering with a well-regarded, purpose-driven South Australian organisation to find an experienced Senior Accountant to join their Adelaide-based finance team. About The Role
As Senior Accountant, you will own the full cycle of financial management and reporting, with responsibility spanning:
- Leading month-end and year-end processes, including balance sheet reconciliations and cash flow forecasting
- Preparing monthly management reports and variance analysis
- Coordinating external audits and preparing Annual Financial Statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards and legislative requirements
- Managing statutory lodgements, including ACNC, ACFR, QFR, BAS, FBT, and grant acquittals
- Supporting the billings and claiming process, debt collection reporting, and accounts payable oversight
- Administering finance systems, including general ledger, chart of accounts, and user access
- Partnering with internal stakeholders to provide clear, timely financial insights
- You will provide day-to-day guidance and oversight to a small team, supporting their development and ensuring the team delivers to a high standard
- Identifying and implementing process improvements to drive efficiency across the finance function
About You
You're a Motivated, Detail-oriented Finance Professional Who Brings Both Technical Strength And a Collaborative Approach To Your Work. Our Client Is Looking For Someone With
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance or Accounting
- CA or CPA qualification (essential)
- Minimum 5 years' experience in financial accounting
- Proficiency in Excel; experience with ERP systems highly regarded
- Strong communication skills and the ability to translate financial information for non-finance audiences
- A continuous improvement mindset and a proactive, solutions-focused approach
- The ability to obtain a current Police Clearance (vulnerable groups)
