THE ORGANISATION
We are partnering with a Australian based organisation to appoint an experienced Interim Payroll Manager to lead a highly complex and business-critical payroll function during a significant period of operational uplift and stabilisation. This is a rare opportunity to step into a large-scale environment where payroll sits at the centre of workforce governance, compliance, employee experience, and operational risk.
PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A 3 MONTH INTERIM ROLE.
THE ROLE
Reporting into senior HR Shared Services leadership, you will oversee payroll operations, governance, stakeholder management, and team leadership while partnering closely with HR, HRIS, Finance, and operational leaders. Key accountabilities will include leading payroll operations within a highly complex enterprise agreement environment and strengthening governance, controls, escalation pathways, and risk management practices. The successful candidate will support remediation and compliance activities as well as improve operational rhythm, service delivery, and quality assurance processes.
THE CRITERIA
To be successful in the this role you will be an experienced payroll leader who thrives in complex environments and brings both operational capability and emotional resilience.You will need proven leadership experience in large, complex payroll environments as well as strong understanding of enterprise agreements, payroll governance, and compliance risk.
