Join our Community Living Support team in Penrith. We work with people to build independence and confidence by focusing on their values and personal goals, while encouraging social connection and a sense of belonging in the community.

As a First Nations Wellness Facilitator, you will play a kay role in creating a culturally safe, respectful, and inclusive environment where individuals feel empowered to strengthen connections to identity, culture, and community. You will work collaboratively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, while also working with non-indigenous people, to help design and implement strategies that enhance culturally responsive service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation of culturally safe practices within the Community Living Support program, ensuring services are respectful and responsive to diverse cultural needs.
  • Build team cultural capability by providing guidance, coaching, and opportunities for reflective practice.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of inclusive policies that promote culturally safe and respectful service delivery.
  • Apply a strong understanding of ethical practice, including confidentiality and professional boundaries, in all aspects of work.
  • Collaborate with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, organisations, and leaders to strengthen partnerships and improve wellbeing outcomes for consumers.
  • Work with a broad spectrum of both First Nations and non-indigenous clients to assist them to make significant personal changes.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Certificate IV (Mental Health, Community Sector, Case Management, Counselling or related)
  • Current Driver Licence
  • Current Working With Children Check
  • Current National Police Check
