An exceptional opportunity is available for a seasoned in-house Property Lawyer to join our dynamic Property Team.

In this pivotal National role, you will take ownership of all property law matters across the business, playing a key part in supporting our continued growth. As a trusted legal advisor, you will deliver commercially focused, timely, and high-quality property law advice to the Company and its stakeholders

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal advice across all aspects of the Company’s property and leasing portfolio
• Manage purchase and sale of property and business assets from end to end
• Advise on, draft, and negotiate leases, subleases, and licence agreements
• Interpret and apply relevant legislation, rulings, and regulations impacting the business
• Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of property-related transactions, including joint ventures, acquisitions, disposals, and leasing arrangements
• Deliver expert guidance on retail and residential tenancy matters
• Advise on stamp duty implications associated with property transactions
• Instruct, manage, and liaise with external legal counsel as required

Qualifications

• Admitted to Practice Lawyer in Victoria or other jurisdictions
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience practicing Property Law
• Strong analytical, legal research and drafting skills
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Ability to work autonomously and within a team
