Our client is a leading Sydney-based property development and construction group delivering high-quality residential and mixed-use rent projects that shape great urban communities.
With an expanding pipeline across NSW, they are seeking a driven and capable Project Engineer to join its growing construction team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a landmark $300m+ mixed use and residential mid to high-rise development while building strong technical, site and stakeholder management experience.
Reporting to a Senior Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the daily delivery of high quality and on-time construction projects, ensuring that the projects are completed to documented drawings, specifications and nominated timeframes.
You will initially be working on internals now that the structure is coming up.
Years of experience
Ideally 2 – 3+ years as a Project Engineer
Responsibilities include but not limited to
Project Delivery & Site Coordination
- Assisting with the planning, coordination and execution of construction works
- Managing subcontractors, suppliers and consultants on site
- Monitoring construction programs, procurement schedules and project milestones
- Reviewing construction drawings, shop drawings and technical documentation
- Resolving technical issues and contributing to value engineering initiatives
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Overseeing quality control across site activities
- Ensuring compliance with WHS, environmental and statutory requirements
- Supporting site safety systems, inspections and reporting
Reporting & Stakeholder Coordination
- Supporting project reporting, progress claims and cost tracking
- Building strong working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Assisting the Senior Project Engineer and Project Manager with day-to-day project administration as required
Qualifications and Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or similar
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience as a Project Engineer in the successful delivery of new build projects
- Experience in internal fit-out ideal
- Detailed knowledge of local council and regulatory requirements / standards
- Strong project financial reporting skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Well-developed interpersonal skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite
