The Opportunity
A PE-backed financial advisory and accounting firm needs an Agentic AI Engineer to help scale what's already working.
They're past the experimentation stage. A live Copilot Studio / Power Automate solution is in production, cutting a heavily manual workflow from roughly 9 hours down to 20 minutes.
That result reached the C-suite and shifted the conversation from "should we invest in AI?" to "how quickly can we scale it?" Budget is approved. Urgency is real. And there's a growing pipeline of workflow problems they want rethought through agentic AI.
This is an early-stage, high-impact position. You'll work directly with the CIO to turn proven proof points into scalable, production-ready AI capability across the business.
The Role
- We're not looking for someone with an ML or Data Science background, or a PHD student with zero hands-on commercial experience building and deploying agents!
- It’s a high-level build role for an experienced engineer who can take a real business problem, apply agentic AI in practice, and ship commercial solutions in the Microsoft stack.
The fit could come from one of two directions:
- a Microsoft-first full-stack engineer who has moved into AI agents from an Azure, API, and integration-heavy background
- a Power Platform specialist who has genuinely expanded into AI, automation, and workflow delivery with Copilot Studio
What you’ll be doing
- Design and deploy AI agents and intelligent workflows across priority business use cases
- Build across Copilot Studio, Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, Dataverse, and the wider Power Platform
- Integrate AI solutions into core systems through APIs and Azure services
- Develop data pipelines, semantic models, and reporting to support AI and analytics
- Turn successful internal use cases into repeatable, governed solutions
- Work closely with stakeholders to identify workflow and automation opportunities
- Ensure solutions meet privacy, governance, and audit requirements
What they’re looking for
- Hands-on commercial experience building and deploying AI agents or intelligent workflows
- Strong practical capability in Copilot Studio, this is a genuine non-negotiable
- Strong Microsoft ecosystem depth across Power Platform and Azure services
- Experience applying AI to real business processes, not just experimentation or proof-of-concept work
- Good API and systems integration capability, ideally with some Azure Functions, PowerShell, SQL, Python, JavaScript, or similar scripting experience
- Able to work end-to-end, from workflow discovery through to build, rollout, and iteration
- Comfortable operating as a senior IC with a high level of autonomy
- Strong communication skills and confidence working with non-technical stakeholders
- Experience in financial services, professional services, or similarly detail-heavy environments would be valuable
