Fantastic opportunity to join a well-established boutique consultancy as a Senior / Quantity Surveyor or Senior Contracts Administrator working across a variety of projects.

Our client is a boutique cost consultancy is looking to expand their office and are currently looking for a Senior / Quantity Surveyor to join their Sydney team.

You will be responsible for ensuring all commercial objectives of the project are delivered successfully. Assist with providing strategic, commercial, quantity surveying and contractual guidance and technical expertise to clients.

Candidates can come from head contractor or cost consultancy background. Projects will be a mix of buildings and infrastructure related work for tier 1 and tier 2 clients.

Looking for an ASAP start on projects and could be a contract or permanent opportunity

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparation of and submission of head contact payment claims
  • Prepare and submission of variations
  • Provide support in the scope development of subcontract, consultancy and supplier packagers
  • Support the procurement process
  • Maintain, review and manage a register of subcontract variations
  • Manage subcontractor and supplier payments
  • Prepare the Payment Schedules
  • Financial reporting
  • Cost management, cash flow and forecasting
  • Provide support in matters relating to quantum and general construction related disputes
  • Contracts Administration

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Tertiary Qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or similar
  • 5 years’ experience or more in a similar role
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
