We are currently experiencing a high demand for experienced Project Officers for multiple projects across the Perth Metro Area. Key Responsibilities
Depending on the specific department and level, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Project Delivery & Coordination: Supporting the end-to-end project lifecycle, tracking milestones, managing project registers (RISK/issues), and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Government Procurement & Contract Management: Assisting with tender processes, evaluating supplier performance, and ensuring compliance with state procurement policies.
- High-Level Governance & Secretariat: Preparing agendas, minutes, and comprehensive documentation for project steering committees and working groups.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaising effectively with internal teams, external delivery partners, and senior government executives.
- Reporting & Briefing: Researching, analysing data, and drafting high-quality executive summaries, ministerial briefs, and Cabinet submissions.
What's On Offer
- Hourly Rate: $50 - $65 per hour + Super
- Location: Perth CBD & Metro Areas
- Contract: 3-6 months contracts with chance of extensions
- Sector: State Government
What We Are Looking For
To be successful in these state government positions, you will ideally bring:
- Previous Public Sector Experience is desirable: A solid understanding of WA State Government frameworks, compliance, and public sector governance is highly desirable.
- Strong Communication Skills: Exceptional written capability with a proven track record of writing clear, concise briefs for executive leadership.
- Organisational Agility: The ability to hit the ground running, adapt quickly to changing priorities, and manage multiple project streams simultaneously.
- Systems Savviness: Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Monday.com) and standard TRIM/Objective record management systems is a plus.
