Senior Planner

Consilium Solutions is expanding, and we are seeking a Senior Planner to support our client on a major mining and renewable energy project through the study and pre-execution phases. This position will play a key role in scenario-based planning and strategic project development prior to Final Investment Decision (FID).

Working closely with senior leadership, you will be responsible for developing and assessing multiple project scenarios, providing high-level planning insights, and delivering detailed reporting to support investment and execution decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Continue to develop and maintain a master schedule integrating mining, renewable, and green energy workstreams
• Manage level 3 detailed schedules across major mining, renewable, and green energy scope during study and pre-execution phases
• Develop and assess scenario-based planning options to determine the most effective project strategies
• Prepare high-level and detailed project schedules prior to Final Investment Decision (FID) approval
• Provide bottom-up schedule logic and justification to support planning assumptions and recommendations
• Deliver monthly reporting and planning presentations to senior leadership and directors
• Analyse project risks, opportunities, constraints, and schedule impacts across multiple scenarios
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary stakeholders to align project planning outcomes and priorities
• Support project development activities including scope definition, sequencing, and execution strategy planning
• Manage a smaller concurrent project as Lead Planner, overseeing detailed planning and reporting activities

About You

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related discipline
• PMP or PRINCE2 certification advantageous
• Extensive project planning experience across mining, infrastructure, energy, or renewable projects
• Strong background in study-phase, pre-execution, and scenario-based planning
• Proven ability to deliver strategic planning solutions and present recommendations to senior stakeholders
• Strong understanding of project lifecycles, including FID processes
• Advanced Primavera P6 and scheduling experience
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
