About the company: Our client is a government organisation within the infrastructure and transport sector, delivering major projects that support communities across Queensland. They are seeking an experienced Project Officer (Governance & Reporting) to join their team based in Nerang on a contract through to December 2026, with possible extension. This role sits within a large-scale program environment supporting high-value infrastructure projects.

About the role

  • Preparation of agendas, minutes, and governance documentation for program boards, steering committees, and leadership meetings
  • Development, creation, and ongoing management of dashboards tracking project risks, issues, budget, and performance
  • Monthly program and project reporting, including updates to Project Managers, Directors, and Program Boards
  • Financial and risk analysis to support senior decision-making
  • Risk management reviews and reporting on a monthly basis
  • Support project programming and performance reporting using 3PCM software
  • Provide governance advice and support to project managers and delivery teams
  • Preparation and review of reports for Federal Government requirements
  • Management and analysis of reporting related to government commitments and compliance
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders and supporting financial and procurement processes

About you

  • Previous experience in a Project Officer, Program Officer, or Governance/PMO role
  • Strong experience in project governance, reporting, and risk management
  • Ability to develop and manage dashboards and interpret performance data
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Strong written skills, including preparation of reports, board papers, and meeting documentation
  • High attention to detail with strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment
  • Experience working within government or infrastructure environments highly regarded
  • Experience with 3PCM or similar systems is desirable
