Join Liverpool Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit and be part of a high-performing team delivering exceptional care to some of the most critically unwell patients. Our ICU provides a dynamic and rewarding clinical environment, caring for patients with complex conditions such as major trauma, cardiac failure, and post-operative recovery.

You’ll have access to some of the best teaching and learning facilities in the country, supporting your ongoing professional development and career progression. Our ICU education teams work collaboratively across the district to uphold the highest standards of nursing care, supported by advanced medical technologies including the Electronic ICU medical record system (eRIC), ventilation, dialysis, and heart and lung bypass machines. You’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful and life-changing experiences such as organ donation and retrieval, while making a real difference every day in critical care.

  • Do you have current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)? Please attach a copy of your AHPRA registration in your application

  • Can you describe a time when you had to manage a critically ill patient with complex needs in a high-pressure environment? What steps did you take to ensure safe and effective care, and how did you work with the multidisciplinary team?
