About The Role

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. You'll create structured reasoning traces that capture step-by-step planning, tool use, and decision-making — the kind of high-quality training data that makes the difference between an AI that guesses and one that genuinely reasons.

What You'll Do

• Author clear, structured reasoning traces for complex technical tasks — showing how an expert would plan, reason, and act
• Document step-by-step decision-making processes that capture real-world logic and tool use
• Create high-quality training data that demonstrates reliable, grounded AI reasoning
• Evaluate and iterate on your outputs to meet rigorous quality standards
• Work independently and asynchronously — fully on your own schedule

Who You Are

• Background in Machine Learning, Computer Science, or a closely related technical field
• Able to break down complex logical and technical problems into clear, structured steps
• Strong analytical thinker with a methodical, detail-oriented approach
• Confident written communicator — you can explain technical reasoning clearly and precisely
• Self-motivated and reliable when working independently without supervision

Nice to Have

• Prior experience with data annotation, data quality, or AI evaluation workflows
• Familiarity with how LLMs are trained or fine-tuned
• Experience working with APIs, coding assistants, or AI-powered tools
• Background in software engineering, data science, or applied research
