Nationwide Group is Australia’s largest provider of emergency roadside assistance and specialist towing and transport services.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced General Mechanic to help keep our vehicles safe and compliant.

About The Role

You’ll be working with a small and enthusiastic team maintaining and repairing a mixture of light and heavy vehicles across our diverse fleet. This is a hands-on role with a mix of workshop tasks and fleet support, working closely with operational teams to keep our vehicles on the road along with training and support as required.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Minor servicing, diagnosing and repairing light and heavy vehicles
  • Preventive maintenance and safety inspections
  • Fault-finding across mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems
  • At times attending breakdowns where practical
  • Commissioning new vehicles and equipment
  • Maintaining service records
  • Supporting fleet operations and improvement initiatives

About You

  • AUR30620 Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or Certificate III in Diesel Automotive Technology (Heavy Vehicle)
  • Experience working on various vehicles including trucks and machinery
  • Current HR licence
  • Strong safety focus and pride in workmanship

Nice To Have (not Essential)

  • Forklift licence
  • Welding and hydraulics experience
  • Towing, transport or roadside assistance experience
