About The Opportunity
We are currently seeking experienced TBM Operators to join our tunnelling team in Sydney, NSW. These roles will support the safe and efficient operation of Tunnel Boring Machines on major infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities includes:
- Operate and monitor Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) equipment safely and efficiently.
- Carry out daily inspections, fault finding and basic maintenance activities.
- Monitor tunnelling operations and ground conditions during excavation.
- Work closely with supervisors, engineers and crew members to maintain production targets.
- Assist tunnelling crews with TBM operational activities.
- Willingness to assist with TBM cutter changes.
- Ensure compliance with project safety, environmental and quality requirements.
- Participate in shutdowns, servicing and maintenance activities as required.
What you’ll bring to the team
- Demonstrated experience working within the tunnelling field, including pipejacking or segmental tunnelling.
- Experience using VMT guidance and AVN systems.
- Strong understanding of tunnelling operations and underground construction environments.
- Previous tunnelling experience on water asset projects highly regarded.
- Previous pipejacking experience on water asset projects highly regarded.
- Trade qualification desirable.
- Current C Class Driver’s Licence.
- WHS Construction Induction Card (White Card).
- Ability to work across rotating rosters, including nights and weekends if required.
- Commitment to safety and teamwork.
