They are now looking for a hands-on Senior Accountant to help strengthen the finance function and support the continued evolution of the business.

About the Role

Reporting to the Financial Services Manager, this role will oversee the day-to-day finance operations across two businesses and sites.

You’ll take ownership of month-end processes, reporting, reconciliations, budgeting and compliance while supervising a small administration and finance support team.

The role will also play a key part in improving systems, processes and reporting accuracy as the business continues to grow.

This opportunity would suit someone from a manufacturing, wholesale, industrial or product-based environment who enjoys being close to the operations of the business.

Day to Day

  • Manage the General Ledger and maintain data integrity
  • Coordinate month-end close, journals and reconciliations
  • Monitor budgets, costs and business performance
  • Assist with cashflow reporting and financial analysis
  • Oversee AP, AR and finance administration activities
  • Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and Chart of Accounts
  • Complete BAS, IAS, FBT and Payroll Tax reporting
  • Process intercompany, stocktake and labour journals
  • Support audit and compliance activities
  • Drive process improvement initiatives across the finance function
  • Work across MYOB, Xero and operational systems
  • Liaise with stakeholders across two business sites

What You’ll Bring

  • Previous experience in a hands-on accounting role
  • Strong month-end, reconciliation and reporting experience
  • Manufacturing or product-based industry experience is highly regarded
  • Exposure to costing, BOMs or operational finance environments preferred
  • Strong systems and Excel capability
  • Ability to supervise or mentor junior staff
  • Proactive mindset with strong attention to detail
