About the Role

As a Social Media Lead (Creative Editorial), you’ll be responsible for the social creative outputs across a range of local & regional brands. This is an exciting role for someone who is passionate about social media and who has their finger on the pulse of content trends, culture-first creativity, emerging platforms, and formats. Being responsible for a small team, and working within our broader leadership structure, you'll be an engaged and proactive creative leader working to deliver scroll-stopping small & big ideas.

In this role, you’ll…

  • Lead the planning, creation and implementation of Social Media programs, both paid and organic, for client partners, with a specific focus on social video/TikTok.
  • Develop an on-brand social media content strategy for client partners, with tactical approaches for each channel.
  • Leading & managing Social Video (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube) projects through the agency, including allocating responsibilities, providing direction and tasking work across the team.
  • Lead a team of Social Video Producers & Coordinators to deliver social and content works for client partners; being accountable for the integration, management, strategic approach and delivery of all key work streams.
  • Ideate on-brand social content (with a focus on Social Video/TikTok video content); developing scripts and concepts to be captured, as aligned with the brand's social/TikTok strategy.
  • Organise Social Video shoots - including the organisation of talent and location, with the support of other agency staff.
  • Capture and edit Social Video content both in-app and/or on CapCut /Adobe Premiere.
  • Engage the client to demonstrate how tactical content aligns with strategy and gather active feedback.
  • Develop performance reports to share internally and with our client partners to share future optimisation of content.
  • Participate in new business pitches and activities, as required.
  • Oversee the training and mentoring of junior team members within the Creative & Content Team.
  • Directly responsible for building and maintaining relationships with senior stakeholders (internal and external) that client partners request by name.

You’ll be bringing to the table...

  • Minimum 6-8+ years of social media marketing and/or content creation experience.
  • The ability to capture and edit engaging content suitable for social media channels.
  • Prior Experience developing social media strategy, content and copywriting & running social media accounts for brands.
  • The ability to create engaging visual social media assets and a solid understanding of the Adobe Creative Suite
  • A passion for creativity and coming up with new content ideas.
  • A proven leadership capability, with prior experience leading creative teams.
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills to confidently share ideas and present work to other team members and clients.
  • Strong organisational skills to ensure tasks are completed on tight deadlines.
  • A proactive approach to work and delivering great results for clients.
  • Previous experience in an agency or in-house background, with a specific focus on social, is viewed favourably.
